and then is forcibly escorted out by secret service. Two questions arise: First, what would your reaction be? Second, what would the left's reaction be? Regardless of political affiliation, and lacking empirical data, I would venture to assert that most Americans would be uncomfortable were this hypothetical scenario unfolding before their eyes. Obviously the unwarranted outburst would be egregiously out of place and inappropriate. As for the left's reaction, it would be entirely predictable: They would be giddy that he had been physically escorted out of the event, not only because it was inappropriate, but seeing a (perceived) political opponent dominated in such a way provides a psychological satisfaction that democratic debate never could. The usual, tired accusations would come out: He is a nothing more than a racist, right-wing propagandist/activist, disrespecting the dignity of the White House (the last part being true). The scenario I have just described is an inverse example of what actually happened at a Donald Trump press conference in Iowa, yesterday. Donald Trump invited journalists from all networks to come and ask him any questions. As everyone who has ever seen a modern press conference knows, the individual being questioned (and who organized the event in the first place) gets to choose journalists to ask him a question. In the video below, it is clearly seen that as Donald Trump walks to the stage, he selects a journalist on the front row to ask him a question. As the journalist (who remained seated) begins to ask his question, Jorge Ramos (a left-wing open borders activist) of Univision stood up and belligerently interrupted the journalist, combatively asking Donald Trump questions. The exchange can be seen below:
Laughably, as Mr. Ramos is being escorted out by security, he asserts that "I have the right to ask a question." In the comments section on YouTube for the above video, the top comment, as of this writing, says "'I have the right to ask a question' yeah and so does everyone f**ing person in that room that you tried to talk over." Although I do not normally concur with Bill O'Reilly, he had astute insight as to the incident from yesterday.
Long story short, Trump was completely in his right to eject an individual (who fancies himself a "journalist") when he became belligerent. Ramos is a left-wing open borders activist (he does not deny this) who was simply grandstanding for attention.
